The final revision of the provincial schedule was posted on Monday February 13th. Teams representing the Pacific Coast League were seeded based on playoff standings which were finalized on Sunday February 12th. When setting the schedule the Field Directorate considered a number of different options for each of the 6 tiers.
For the U13 tier 1 division, 7 teams declared. In order to create a fair schedule it was decided to play a full 7 team round robin. Based on the field time available and to play all of the games in 4 days, each game had to be shortened to 1 hour time slots.
For the U18 tier 2 division a full 6 team round robin, 2 pools of 3 playing within pools and 2 pools of 3 playing across pools were considered. The directorate settled on 2 pools of 3, playing across pools during round robin and within pools for the Semi Finals.
As an oversight, the Field Provincial Directive document was not updated with the format information. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
